It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of former Our Lady of Grace Parish pastor, Fr. William P. O’Neill. Fr. O’Neill died peacefully Tuesday, July 12th. Father Bill was ordained on May 20, 1961 by Bishop Floyd L. Begin. Father O’Neill’s first assignment was as Parochial Vicar of St. Jerome, Cleveland. After various assignments, Father O’Neill became pastor of Our Lady of Grace on July 1, 1996 and remained as pastor until his retirement on August 31, 2010.
Come celebrate the return of the statue of Jesus and Mary to the Shrine of the Two Hearts! On Sunday, July 17th, the 11 am Mass will be celebrated outdoors at the shrine. Bring a lawn chair and be prepared for the weather. Liturgy aides will be available for Mass as we rededicate our beloved statue.
We are brothers and sisters in our human family, made in the image and likeness of God. We are all called to live out our responsibility to protect and care for one another, whether born or unborn.
As you can see from the pictures, the statue of Jesus and Mary from the Triumph of the Two Hearts Shrine, is still being refurbished. We are hoping to schedule an outdoor Mass at the Shrine to rededicate the statue upon their return.
