This year we will be offering both an in-person and a homeschooled version for PSR and our sacrament preparation programs. Homeschooled families will be required to pick-up materials throughout the year. The tentative dates for this year are as follows:
The calendar for the 2022-23 PSR year can be found HERE.
Sacrament Prep materials for Confirmation will be picked up at the October 2nd parent and student meeeting. First Reconciliation materials will be available at the September 25th parent and student meeting and First Communion materials will be available at the January 22nd parent and student meeting.
We use the Pflaum Gospel Weeklies program for our children in Pre-K through Grade 8. Listed below are the programs and age groups:
Our PSR fees for the 2021-22 school year remain the same as they have in the past:
We also have sacrament preparation programs for First Reconciliation, First Communion and Confirmation, as well as Rite of Christian Initiation for Children (RCIC) for children that have not yet been baptized in the Catholic church but are age 7 or older.
We use the Together in Jesus series from Pflaum for our First Reconciliation and First Communion sacrament preparation. These classes are for any child in 2nd grade or older that is already baptized in the Catholic church. If your child is making these sacraments, they will take part in their grade-appropriate PSR class, as well as sacrament preparation.
We use Decision Point by Dynamic Catholic for our Confirmation preparation class. We accept any child that has been baptized in the Catholic church and has made their First Communion who is currently in grades 9-11 to prepare for the sacrament of Confirmation. If your child is in the 12th grade or older and hasn't been confirmed, please contact Bridget Kovalik in the PSR office to discuss the RCIA process to receive the sacrament of Confirmation.
For all families with a child making their Confirmation this year, there will be a mandatory parent and student meeting in the church on October 2nd at 9:15 am. Please plan to attend to receive all of the information you will need for this year’s Confirmation preparation program.
If your child has not been baptized in the Catholic church and is age 7 or older, please contact Bridget Kovalik in the PSR office to discuss the RCIC process.
If your child is over the age of 8 and has been baptized but has not made their First Reconciliation and First Eucharist, please contact Bridget Kovalik in the PSR office to discuss the best option for your child.
