“Train the young in the way they should go;
even when they are old, they will not stray from it.”

Proverbs 22:6

Welcome to the Our Lady of Grace Parish School of Religion!

We are currently registering for the 2020-21 school year. We will be using a simplified online registration this year. Click HERE to register for PSR.

Due to restrictions for COVID-19, our PSR program will be a distance learning program for the 2020-21 school year. Weekly mini-lessons will be sent home for your child to complete individually, or in some cases, a family lesson will be sent home to complete instead.

There will be parent meetings throughout the year in order to discuss the program, pass out student materials, and address any questions from the prior Unit. The parent meetings for Pre-K-8th Grade will be after all masses on the following weekends:

  • Unit 1 – September 12th & 13
  • Unit 2 – October 24th & 25th
  • Unit 3 – December 19th & 20th
  • Unit 4 – February 27th & 28th

Click HERE to register for the meeting you will attend for Unit 2.

We use the Pflaum Gospel Weeklies program for our children in Pre-K through Grade 8. Listed below are the programs and age groups:

  • Seeds – Pre-K
  • Promise – Kindergarten & Grade 1
  • Good News – Grades 2 & 3
  • Ventures – Grades 4-6
  • Visions – Grades 7 & 8

Our PSR fees for the 2020-21 school year remain the same as they have in the past:

  • One child – $50
  • Two children – $100
  • Three or more children – $120

Please bring your check made out to Our Lady of Grace to the parent meeting on September 12th or 13th. If you are not able to attend this meeting, please drop your payment off at the rectory office Monday – Friday 8:00 am – 4:00 pm or after hours in the black mail box on the side of the building. Additionally, you can drop your payment off in the collection basket. Please make sure all payments are in a separate envelope with “PSR” on the front so they get to the correct place.

Sacrament Preparation Programs

We also have sacrament preparation programs for First Reconciliation, First Communion and Confirmation, as well as Rite of Christian Initiation for Children (RCIC) for children that have not yet been baptized in the Catholic church but are age 7 or older.

We use the Together in Jesus series from Pflaum for our First Reconciliation and First Communion sacrament preparation. These classes are for any child in 2nd grade or older that is already baptized in the Catholic church. If your child is making these sacraments, they will take part in their grade-appropriate PSR class, as well as sacrament preparation.

We use Decision Point by Dynamic Catholic for our Confirmation preparation class. We accept any child that has been baptized in the Catholic church and has made their First Communion who is currently in grades 9-11 to prepare for the sacrament of Confirmation.

For all families with a child making their Confirmation this year, there will be a mandatory parent and student meeting in the church on September 20th after the 8:00 am mass (approximately 8:45). Please plan to attend to receive all of the information you will need for this year’s Confirmation preparation program.

If your child has not been baptized in the Catholic church and is age 7 or older, please contact Bridget Kovalik in the PSR office to discuss the RCIC process.
